Emily Ratajkowski is just another overpaid actress and model who splits up with her husband after a short whirlwind romance, and there’s nothing new about short marriages or messy breakups. Or is there more to this than we think?
We’ve seen it all before: the breakup, the post-breakup haircut, the Instagram posts declaring “new beginnings.” But Emily Ratajkowski’s recent break from her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, seems different.
For one, they were only married for a few years. And two, they have an adorable baby boy, and three, he was always punching above his weight. In a recent Tiktok video, Emily referred to the fact she likes ugly men and then retracted this statement in a Tweet.
Emily, a self-styled feminist and ambassador for Planned Parenthood, has been careful not to discuss the details of the divorce, which is almost impossible if your life evolves around disclosing personal info on social media.
Since the split, Emily has been posting on-fire selfies on Instagram, and she even chopped her hair into a new style. The model redefined the concept of a post-breakup haircut as she debuted a subtle but fresh new look one month after her split with Sebastian.

The new look comes complete with layers and bangs, a total change from her usual long, dark tresses. Interestingly the now-famous Tiktok is lip-synced to the Pump 101 track by Digga D and Still Brickin’, with the words ‘how can I say this in a friendly way’? ‘beg you, sign this NDA.’
Not sure what good an NDA (nondisclosure agreement) will do you right now, Emily. It’s unlikely she means NDA, more like ‘begging you to sign the divorce papers, ‘ which would make more sense.
Emily has always been open about her body and sexuality and is unapologetic about using her platform to discuss these things. In a recent interview with Glamour, she said: ‘There are people who are like,’ ‘Why do you need to be naked so much?’ And I’m like, why not?
I’m comfortable with my body, and I think that there’s this idea that feminine = weak.” She added, “I want to show people that you can be strong and vulnerable simultaneously.”
We applaud Emily for being open and honest about her life, body, and sexuality. And we think she looks hotter than ever. It’s unlikely that EmRata will be single for long – unless she wants to be. Only time will tell.
