Fashion Month for spring/summer 2023 was memorable, with celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Cher attending shows to endorse their favorite brands. Social media allowed even those outside the cities to experience the runway while the brands fully displayed creative attempts at engaging audiences to an ecstatic crowd.
Clothes featured hard-working yet effortless pieces with hints of Y2K aesthetic, such as Chanel’s black-and-white movie projected onto a massive screen at their show and Richard Quinn dedicating his S/S 23 collection to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Brand brands like Halpern added fun and color with their ’80s-themed party.

The highlights came from Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, and Chanel, each offering a different view of fashion.
Miu Miu came in strong with a grey, black, and white theme seen in their going-to-the-gym laidback aesthetic. The model wore a grey cap-sleeved T-shirt over a beige smock with a grey long-sleeved T-shirt over a white T-shirt, which was very translatable.
The Miu Miu collection will trickle down into the high street; expect Zara to follow the trend first, followed closely by Mango and H&M.
Louis Vuitton embraced white with their striking puffa jackets and chunky eyelet boots, giving a pinch of 90’s indie punk.
Chanel had a classic look with breezy black and white looks and suits in grey tweed.
Loewe ignited the catwalk with bold colors, oversized floral embellishments, and cocktail dresses to invigorate the season.

High Street Fashion for Spring
As for the high street, J.Crew offers quilted jackets and skirts in Liberty prints, while & Other Stories has a more bohemian feel with florals and eye-catching patterns, championing a lime green and pale blue palette.
If you’re into blur dressing, try Zara. Last summer, Jonathan Anderson’s cult-favorite blur-print tube dresses from Loewe sparked a rebirth for formfitting trompe l’oeil and cyber designs. The aesthetic is staying strong for S/S 23.

An easy nod to the catwalk is accessories; they are always a great way to add a touch of sparkle. Unique earrings can give any look a new lease of life, and we love the sculptural statement earrings from Zara and Mango for this season’s gala events.
COS is sticking with its Scandi blue, green, grey, and black aesthetic with tailored trousers and neat jackets. Block-colored oversized dresses match stunning giant bags and stylish but practical shoes. You can rely on COS for your day-wear staples.

H&M and others are going ‘indie sleaze,’ a term invented by Generation Z. Several of the spring/summer 2023 runways had an edgy sensibility that correlated to 90s nostalgia.
Muddy tones, faded jeans, long-sleeve tops layered under bright white tees, army jackets, and massive silver hardware are all on the menu.
Hollywood Glamour at H&M Studio
While H&M Studio was all over Hollywood glamour, with pinks and purples, fake fur, and feathers ruling supreme, H&M Studio is the hot ticket for high street collectors. We predict celebs and keen shoppers will more seek the collection as we advance into spring and summer.
This season is all about having fun and experimenting with new trends while making sure your look is practical, timeless, and fashionable. London, Paris, and Milan fashion week offered many ideas for making your own.
